Hear the amazing story of the Violins of Hope collection, violins recovered and carefully restored from WWII Holocaust victims, concentration camps and Jewish ghettos, on Tuesday, January 24 at 7pm in Conversation with Amnon Weinstein and James Grymes at MOSH.  Weinstein, a noted Israeli violin maker, shares his journey of finding the violins that were once silenced, and now given new life through years of dedication and his masterful skills. He will be joined by biographer of the VOH collection, James Grymes. The violins will be on display. FREE. DEFIANCE, the FILM, AND CONVERSATION WITH ASAEL BIELSKI

January 26, Thursday, 7pm - Defiance - followed by a discussion with the daughter of Asael Bielski who is portrayed in the movie – This inspiring Hollywood movie reenacts the largest armed rescue of Jews by Jews during WWII, led by three Bielski brothers, who joined with Russian resistance fighters to build a protective village for refugees, saving over 1,000 Jewish non-combatants from Nazi death camps.  Assaela Weinstein, daughter of Asael Bielski, will provide accurate insight into what really transpired.  Jewish  Community Alliance.
