PRC Digital Media Documents Save the St. Johns River Tour
Jacksonville, FL April 2016
Thirteen Video News Releases and two live shots in thirteen
days were just some of the media generated by PRC Digital Media during a trip
down the 310-mile length of the St. Johns River. In addition, they supplied
scores of still photographs to social media and newspapers across the State of
Florida. The St. Johns Riverkeeper
organized the tour to bring awareness of the threats to Florida’s great river
and to connect with citizens and groups along the entire length of the
river.
Ray Hays and Jesse Hanson traveled by boat alongside kayaks
and canoes during the day and wrote, edited, and posted a two to five minute
video news report every night. In
addition, they carried a LiveU transmitter to do live news interviews from the
river. Morning news anchors interviewed
Riverkeeper Lisa Rinaman about the journey while it was in progress.
The video will be part of a larger project the company will
be working on in the fall.
